Revolution Real Estate 3.0 Released

July 31, 2008

I am proud to announce that I have officially released Revolution Real Estate 3.0 theme. The biggest change in this theme is the way that the homepage is configured - some of the changes have been addressed with the theme options page. The tabber on the homepage does not require any custom images, rather the tabber is pulling the full post and is using the More Tag.

One difference is that this theme will come in four color schemes:

Some of the other changes that have been included are:

  • Tabber area for featured listings
  • Featured “about the community” section on the homepage
  • Theme options page inside WP dashboard
  • Comments section coded for Gravatars
  • Archive & Blog page templates

Because I made quite a few changes to the code within the theme files while updating the theme, I suggest using the 3.0 version from scratch. Unfortunately too much has been changed for me to provide a change log where you could add code to your existing files.

I will be sending out an email within the next day that will provide you instructions on how to download the latest version of the Revolution Real Estate theme.

Revolution 3.0 Released

July 26, 2008

I am proud to announce that I have officially released Revolution 3.0 theme - from a style standpoint, the updated version isn’t much different than the original - most of the changes have come on the backend and the code.

One difference is that this theme will come in three flavors - the original color scheme, as well as a new black and a new blue one. View the original theme, the new black theme or the new blue theme. (you can also toggle when viewing the demo by clicking on the Theme Colors drop down in the navbar.)

The biggest change in this theme is the backend to the homepage. Originally, all of the content on the homepage needed to be modified within the theme files, but all of that is now accessible through the Theme Options page. (very important in my opinion for those wanting an easy solution for a CMS!)

Some of the changes that have been included are:

  • Both sidebar areas are widget-ready
  • Theme options page inside WP dashboard
  • Comments section coded for Gravatars
  • Archive & Blog page templates

Because I made quite a few changes to the code within the theme files while updating the theme, I suggest using the 3.0 version from scratch. Unfortunately too much has been changed for me to provide a change log where you could add code to your existing files.

I will be sending out an email within the next day that will provide you instructions on how to download the latest version of the Revolution theme.

Revolution Pro Media 3.0 Released

July 22, 2008

I am proud to announce that I have officially released Revolution Pro Media 3.0 theme - you can go ahead and view the live demo of the theme. From a style standpoint, the updated version isn’t much different than the original - most of the changes have come on the backend and the code.

One of the biggest changes is the theme options page, which now is built using textareas. This will open up the possibilities and flexibility for those who want to use custom AdSense code, embedded video code other than YouTube, etc.

Some of the changes that have been included are:

  • All 3 sidebar areas are widget-ready
  • Theme options page inside WP dashboard
  • Comments section coded for Gravatars
  • Google AdSense integration in between posts and comments
  • Archive & Blog page templates

There have been some styling changes that I have incorporated into the theme’s homepage, which looks a bit different than the original version - this was done in order to maintain a simple way to modify some of the CSS elements.
